Do you know what a Keyword or Keyword phrase is?
Simply put when you go to your favorite search engine and you type in a couple of words describing what your searching for, that is a keyword phrase. Any search using a single word is a keyword. If you search using a phrase containing that keyword it is called a keyword phrase.
As an example, lets say you are looking for an attorney so you go to your favorite search engine and type in ‘Attorney’. Attorney is your keyword in this case. Once you receive your results you realize that your search uncovered several million results. So you rethink your search and submit a more specific keyword phrase, such as:
- Family Attorney
- Plano Attorney
- Cheap Attorney
In many cases you may find in doing your research that you have to change how your thinking about this search, and use a different keyword phrase all together. Instead of attorney, you use:
- Family Lawyer
- Plano Family Lawyer
- Child Support Help
As you can see you can come up with a variety of keyword phrases to help you narrow down what your looking for. There are various tools available to identify keywords like the Google keyword tools, or other keyword generators you can search the web. Knowing how and what people search for any given vertical is important to developing a successful online marketing or search engine marketing (SEM) plan that will enable you to convert prospect traffic into revenue.

This article is a great article. This makes total sense. I have been starting to do the research on this for my website here in the UK. It looks like the same thought process works here in the UK. Thanks for sharing this. I look forward to many more posts.
